Burgess Jr. Foundation Inc. powerful workshop presentations use story telling, experiences, common challenges and motivational strategies to empower  students and educators of all demographics; through engagement,  activities and Q&A, our presentations inspire,  empower and restore hope. using strategic motivational strategies, storytelling and demonstrations to engage  students and educators in problem solving, laughter and inspiration; through demonstrations, experiences.  Ronald A, Burgess Jr. Foundation, Inc. meets with educators, professionals and students prior to presentations and workshops; assuring to provide the most impactful and motivational experience.

This Uncertainty is unavoidable for our students. Many are unsure about where they stand academically, socially and personally; they often simultaneously apprehensive of both their present and their future; as a result, anxiety and depression are two of the most common issues that arise among today's young people.

RECOVERY workshop (45-60 min)

Family Recovery X Motivation- How learning about addiction changed my life.


AUDIENCE: Youth/Adult Residential Programs, Recovery High Schools


VERSION: Story-Telling & Small/Large Class Workshop, 



This workshop educates those in recovery,  SUD/MH providers, and family/recovery supports on addiction as a "Family" and  "Brain" disease rather than a moral failing. Using psycho-education  combined with motivation this presentation assist in decreasing the  relapse potential of those struggling with substance-use disorders. 


Learning Objectives: 

  • Quickest way to understanding addiction and supporting a addicted loved one
  • How to effectively promote "Family" recovery
  • 6 roles within a family system; What role(s) do you play in the family system?
  • Mindset needed to succeed in recovery

Making an impact (30-45 min)

It Starts With You- Motivation for Students transitioning to Middle/High School or further treatment


AUDIENCE: Middle/High School (Grades 6-12), Youth/Adult Residential Programs, Recovery High Schools

Every student was born to make an impact; every student has a story and gift; A that gift designed to  impact others in a  positive and inspiring way. This presentation teaches students the  importance of "impact" and how it's a prerequisite to success; equipping students with the mindset to "take action" now.

  • Ways to use your story to create positive impact.
  • Keys to building self-discipline on the journey; how to trust the process
  • How to find and live life in purpose
