Ronald A. Burgess Jr. Foundation, Inc. host our story telling conference in schools, youth and sports clubs/events, and other conference events; through collaboration with your students, educators, superintendent and principals, the RBJ Foundation, Inc. meets prior to conference to assure the best motivational experience; creating an atmosphere where teens could reignite their hope.
This conference educates and empowers at-risk youth who are in recovery and their respective family/recovery supports on addiction as a "Family" and "Brain" disease rather than a choice or moral failing. Using psycho-education combined with motivation this conference assist in decreasing the relapse potential of those struggling with substance-use disorders and mental health.
"Addiction isn't a choice, but treatment is."
Anxiety and depression are two of the most common issues that arise among today's at-risk youth; studies has proven that "90 % of at-risk youth reported experiencing peer pressure." although peer pressure seems to be a normal challenge for youth in low -income communities, there are various ways to cope and manage.
"Every challenge and all opposition brings with it a seed of equivalent growth."
Students were born to make an impact; every student has a story and gift; a gift designed to impact and inspire others in a positive and healthy way. This conference teaches students the importance of "impact" and starting now; this conference is equipping students with the mindset to "take action" now.
"Everyone on earths walking around with a gift in their hands."
